Werlabs is a health tech company that provides health analysis via blood testing. We help people become more proactive about their health, and prevent diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease before they occur. Our most recent investment round included the management of Spotify and we are working in partnership with the NHS and Dr. Xand van Tulleken (one of the twin doctors often features on the BBC) to change the healthcare landscape in the UK.

In the UK, we are just starting out, and are looking for a Business Development Manager to massively grow our B2B offering. You will be responsible for all aspects of the sales funnel, from prospecting, to building the sales pipeline, to making deals happen. This role is entrepreneurial – you will do everything from develop sales material such as e-mail templates and pitch decks to representing Werlabs at high profile events.

You will need to bring real hustle to this newly created role. Reporting to the UK General Manager, Amaan Banwait (former Bain consultant and Wharton MBA), you’ll be a do-whatever-it-takes-to-get-it-done individual with an appetite for moving quickly.

You will have large responsibilities from day one. What you do will have actual impact on our users and Werlabs as a company. Your opinions and ideas will matter.

This role is based in London.

What we’re looking for

A business development professional who is highly motivated - a doer, who is willing to take responsibility for building our UK sales funnel and driving sales. You have a flexible mind-set combined with the passion to change healthcare through consumer-driven technology solutions. Your working style is entrepreneurial and with a hands-on approach towards problem solving. And you enjoy working in a collaborative team solving big problems that doesn’t take itself too seriously!


·       Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry 

·       Build a sales pipeline through cold calling, cold emailing, events and other channels

·       Qualify leads, convert them into meetings, and make deals happen

·       Lead onsite execution of blood testing at corporate clients (with support from the Werlabs team)

·       Manage sales leads in our database 

·       Account management of current clients 

·       Develop sales materials needed such as e-mail templates, scripts, pitch decks

·       Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

·       Start-up (all-hands-on-deck) “I bust my ass because I love it” approach


·       3 years+ experience in B2B sales and/or business development

·       You have experience with all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals to account management

·       KPI-driven and can point to how you have measurably improved all aspects of the sales funnel in your past experience

·       You have an insatiable drive to succeed and obsessive about achieving results

·       You have excellent written skills and can write personable, persuasive and professional emails

·       You have a natural ability to persistently motivate yourself and others by being a great team player

·       Experience using CRM systems as you’ll be expected to juggle multiple tools & platforms

·       Capacity to multi-task and think on your feet

·       Bachelor’s level education

·       Passion for healthcare

Desired (not required)

·       Experience in a start-up or technology company

·       Experience launching a new sales/B2B function
